Heart Picture 16272079-fingerprint-love-heartFebruary is National Heart Awareness Month. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States; one in every three deaths is from heart disease and stroke, equal to 2,200 deaths per day. But together we can fight and prevent heart disease and stroke. One of the most important ways to fight and prevent heart disease is to be aware to be educated on prevention and control of your already diagnosed heart disease. Know your ABCS as the CDC has put together a short educational way to remember and know what to look out for: A for Aspirin: Ask your doctor if you should take an Aspirin every day. B for Blood Pressure: know your blood pressure. C for Cholesterol: know and treat your cholesterol if it’s abnormal. S for Smoking: If you smoke get help to quit. For more healthy tips and ways to get started on a healthy route see the CDC website: http://www.cdc.gov/features/heartmonth/ and  www.millionhearts.hhs.gov Make this month a healthy month. Didn’t kick off the new year with a healthy foot, this is the month to take control! Together we can do it! Follow us on Facebook http://on.fb.me/UQ1D0k Follow us on Twitter http://bit.ly/TeouCv
